There are a number of ministries claiming to be experiencing “revival.” Some of these ministries are characterized by “holy laughter,” others by singing and prayer. But the question is, “what makes anything claiming to be a revival a true revival?” What are the marks of such an authentic biblical revival ministry?
Our pastor Tom Fuller just completed a short sermon series on the 5 Characteristics of an Authentic Revival Ministry. In this series Pastor Fuller explains from the example of John the Baptist what an authentic biblical revival looks like.
Messages in this series with a description of each:
5 Characteristics of an Authentic Revival Ministry, Part 1 An authentic biblical revival ministry has as its main activity preaching. The content of this preaching is repentance.
5 Characteristics of an Authentic Revival Ministry, Part 2 An authentic biblical revival ministry, furthermore, features a minister whose lifestyle fits the objectives of the ministry. The quality of responses to such a ministry will include the spiritual activity of confession of sins. Meanwhile, all religious experience that is merely external and formal will be denounced by such a ministry.
